Addis Ababa Declaration”: Africa’s Pledge for Climate Justice & Youth-Led Solutions

On 10 September 2025, African leaders adopted the Addis Ababa Declaration on Climate Change and Call to Action at the Second Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa. This landmark declaration is a bold step towards climate justice, financing, and Africa-led innovation.

For South Sudan, this declaration offers a roadmap for youth-led climate action, stronger partnerships, and funding opportunities to scale local solutions. Youth voices, including those represented by the Eden Foundation, were actively involved in the Summit, ensuring that our country’s future is firmly part of Africa’s climate journey.
